Frequently asked Questions

  • WHY IS THERE A 60-MINUTE WINDOW AROUND MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT?
We strive to adhere to scheduled appointment times. However, sometimes situations occur that will disrupt the daily schedule. This includes traffic, weather, mechanical difficulties, or spending more time with an older, younger, or difficult dog. The dog’s safety will NEVER be compromised by rushing to meet a schedule. You will be called or texted and advised of an arrival time when schedules change beyond our control. We want to assure you that, just as we won't rush through your pup's groom if any delays occur, we won't rush through another customer's appointment either. Quality care and attention to detail remain our top priorities. Please be advised that there is a one-hour window both before and after your scheduled appointment time.
  • WHY IS TEXT MESSAGING THE BEST WAY TO REACH YOU?
Phone calls are not always able to be ansered throughout the day. We promise each customer one-on-one attention. If I am answering the phone while with another client, it takes away from their time and can be distracting. I strive to stay focused on what I am doing and will return inquiries as soon as possible. As a solo pet stylist, it's crucial for me to revisit our conversations to recall important information exchanged between us. Text messaging enables me to effectively communicate with multiple clients at once and ensures I maintain clarity on what I have or haven't shared with each individual.
  • WHY IS GROOMING SO IMPORTANT?
Ensuring proper skin and coat care is crucial for your pet's overall health. Whether your pet requires only a bath and brush, or a full haircut, grooming is a necessity a dog's skin cycles roughly every 21 days. Regular grooming, ideally on a monthly basis, helps remove old skin cells, promoting new and healthy skin. This, in turn, results in a vibrant and lustrous coat that is easy to maintain. Additionally, keeping your pup's coat tangle-free is essential to prevent matting, which can lead to pain, skin issues, and an unpleasant future grooming experience. Establishing a frequent relationship and familiarity with your pet enables us to be vigilant about any health changes, which we will promptly communicate to you.
  • WHICH VACCINATIONS DO YOU REQUIRE?
Rabies Vaccination While other vaccinations are highly recommended for your pet's overall health, by Massachusetts state law we must have a current Rabies on file
  • WHY DOES MOBILE GROOMING COST MORE THAN A REGULAR SALON?
Mobile grooming often costs more than the average salon due to the premium and specialized nature of the service. Several factors contribute to the higher cost: Convenience: Mobile grooming brings the salon to your doorstep, saving you time and effort. This level of convenience commands a premium. Personalized Service: Mobile groomers typically offer one-on-one attention to each pet, ensuring a more personalized and stress-free experience, which may require additional time and care. Operating Costs: Mobile grooming units are fully equipped, self-contained salons on wheels, requiring additional expenses for maintenance, fuel, and insurance compared to a fixed salon. Reduced Distractions: Pets may be more relaxed in their familiar home environment, leading to a smoother grooming process. This personalized approach contributes to the higher cost. Specialized Services: Mobile groomers often provide specialized services such as de-shedding, nail trimming, and dental care, contributing to the overall value. While the cost may be higher, many pet owners find the convenience, reduced stress for their pets, and the personalized service provided by mobile grooming to be well worth the investment. Our pricing is based on duration, size, coat type, and type of service typically starting at $120 per hour.
  • CAN I STAY WITH MY PUP DURING THE GROOM?
At this time we are unable to fullfill this request. For the comfort and safety of our furry clients, it's observed that most pets behave better and experience less anxiety when their owners are not present during the grooming process. As a safety precaution and for insurance purposes, we kindly require that only the groomer and the pet be in the van during grooming. However, if you would like to take a tour of the van before or after the grooming session, you are more than welcome to do so.
  • DO I NEED TO BE HOME DURING MY PET'S APPOINTMENT?
You will only need to be home for the first appointment. We understand that your schedule may not always align with your pet's grooming needs. That's why we offer a convenient latchkey service for our clients after the first initial visit.
